“Virgin EMI launch Lockdown Live, a unique “live” music experience put together in support of Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.”

Essentially we just need to say “in support of” not “in aid of” in connection to us and Global Citizen,

Lockdown Live takes the form a three day live-streamed music festival, with the aim to encourage everyone to stay indoors and provide entertainment and light relief in these uncertain times.

32 acts (across pop, alternative, urban and dance music) will perform over three days from their homes with each performance live streamed at www.lockdownlive.uk

The Festival starts this weekend on Friday 3rd of April with the Rhapsody Stage supported by Jungle Creations. The line-up features an array of modern pop’s most influential stars including new wave pop sensation HRVY, multi-platinum band The Vamps, Grammy nominated U.S pop superstars Alessia Cara and Tori Kelly, acclaimed house producer/DJ Jay Pryor and trailblazing singer/songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist SG Lewis.

Day two will showcase talent from across the Alternative scene on the Fools Gold Stage. The eclectic line-up includes the fast-rising neo soul of both Lily Moore and Olivia Dean, the high-octane rock of Twin Atlantic and the moody, synth pop of one of Australia’s most promising talents Vera Blue.

The third and final day will see the action coming from the virtual Encore Stage, supported by Seasoned at Buzzfeed UK. The Encore stage will feature some of the hottest talent in the urban lane both from both the UK and internationally, giving everyone some perfect Sunday vibes. From the smooth R’N’B of London riser Duchess and divine U.S songwriter Maya B, to the high-energy genre-bending rap of Eritrean singer/producer Wauve and the highlife stylings of award-winning Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold.

Lockdown Live will take place at www.lockdownlive.uk from the 3rd April to the 5th.
