Video Premiere: KIDDO SHARES ACOUSTIC VERSION OF HER TRACK ‘BANG MY HEAD’ WITH JIM OUMA

Having scored a succession of hits, Stockholm’s multi-talented artist and songwriter KIDDO  collaborated with producer-duo JIM OUMA to create her new single ‘Bang My Head’. With over 3 million streams of the original version, today KIDDO shares an acoustic version of the track revealing her powerful voice accompanied by a video filmed in Sweden in separate homes with Jim Ouma during lockdown.

KIDDO’s tracks touch upon urban influences and vintage vibes, but most of all they’re pop. Her take on pop is super catchy and futuristic, as demonstrated by ‘Bang My Head’. In just over two minutes, the bouncy, modernist beat brings a rush of euphoria as KIDDO uses her compelling vocal to express herself as an artist who is defiant and playful, exasperatedly romantic and self-empowered. ‘Bang My Head’ is a song that reflects on conflict in a relationship. He’s content with the comfort of domesticity, but she wants to remain free to be wild and independent. It’s a lyric born from KIDDO’s own experiences.

“Everyone has been through this,” says KIDDO. “You’re totally in love and want to grow together and experience something new. You’ve invested so much into this relationship, but the other person just can’t keep up. You feel like you’re constantly banging your head against the wall. I’ve had relationships like that too, where you feel like you have to run away to avoid being suffocated by it.”
