As I strolled down the Rue Saint-Honoré, a sweater in a window caught my eye. Immediate recognition of the work of designer Lucien Pellat-Finet took my footsteps straight into the shop. It’s new! Actually, it’s back to 326 from 321, but it is freshly redecorated and looks divine—very architectural and modern.
Founded in 1994, Lucien is famous for the quality and design of his cashmere, from simple shapes to hoodies to t-shirts. It is always delightful to find the quirky design pieces in between the simple, undecorated ones. The colors are always spectacularly selected, and the details on the classics—whether the neck rib or the scale of the ribbing—are always perfection.
It is also great to see an expert designer continuing to offer exactly what he does superbly: classic with a twist, at its pinnacle. This is the moment to start buying and add something divine to your wardrobe. It may blow your budget, but you’ll never regret it—Lucien Pellat-Finet is a sound fashion investment.
