Could you share your experience working with our photographer at the Sony Studio?
It was a pleasure working with him and the rest of the team. There was a great energy all around, and we were just vibing and having fun.
What were your impressions of your first photoshoot in London?
It was incredibly enjoyable. We experimented with different hairstyles, and I loved collaborating with the stylist to put together the outfits. As someone passionate about fashion, I find that I learn more about it with each photoshoot. I’m very pleased with how everything came together. This London experience holds special significance for me as I haven’t done many photoshoots for magazines, making these memories even more meaningful. I’m truly grateful.
Congratulations on the release of your debut EP, “SUPERSTAR!” How does it feel to have this project out in the world after months of hard work and anticipation?
Thank you. It’s a joy to finally have the project out after spending months locked in the studio. I’m excited to share more of my music with the world. I aimed to showcase different sides of myself on this project, and I hope people love it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind your debut EP, “SUPERSTAR!”
The inspiration behind the EP stems from my life experiences over the last few months. Embarking on my journey not too long ago, I’ve encountered a variety of experiences for the first time. Working on my music, exploring the world, meeting new people, and relishing life have all been blessings. The EP came together organically through the process of living and making music every day. In our sessions, we used beats that stood out and sounded different, without overthinking. I’m pleased with the project’s freshness and versatility, making it a genuine representation of Dina Ayada.
How would you describe the overall theme and message of the EP?
‘Superstar!’ is my debut EP, celebrating moments of success, self-discovery, and the journey toward becoming the best version of oneself. Each song reflects different aspects of my life, from highs to lows, aiming to evoke emotions. This journey taught me a lot about myself as both an artist and a person. I let my creativity flow, experimenting with different sounds, topics, and flows. I’m forever grateful for this experience and the people involved.
Could you share some insights into the creative process and the experiences that influenced the selection of the eight tracks on the EP?
We spent most of our time in LA, living life and creating music with talented individuals. An interesting aspect of my creative process is that I never listen to a beat before hopping on it. My producer, Chuki, picks a beat while I wait outside the studio, sketching or keeping myself occupied. As soon as he’s done, I jump into the booth to record, freestyling on the beat for the first time. After that initial take, we collaborate to select our favorite parts and structure the song. I usually write a rough draft and then revise it with talented writers I’ve had the opportunity to work with. When finalizing the project, I invited special people to record voice notes as outros for some songs. For instance, on ‘Way Up!’, you’ll hear my close friend BJRNCK, an amazing artist and songwriter. ‘Perfect!’ features my older brother expressing that my family is proud of me. These personal touches added depth to the songs.
Being a former law student, you made the decision to pursue music full-time. What was the turning point that made you decide to take this path, and how has the transition been for you?
The turning point was a TikTok post that gained significant traction. Messages from artists, producers, and labels started pouring in, leading to meetings and studio sessions in LA. The opportunities were abundant, prompting me to extend my stay. Upon returning to Belgium, I signed out of law school and focused entirely on my music career. My parents, my biggest supporters, understood my decision. Soon after, a call from my manager led to a trip to New York, reinforcing my belief that it was meant to be. Since going all-in, everything has been going amazingly well. I feel like all my dreams are coming true, and I credit it to God’s plan.
From your start as a law student to now releasing a debut EP, how has your musical journey unfolded over the past few years?
I met my producer Chuki and manager Dro about three years ago at a radio station. We started making music together, with Chuki recording our sessions and posting one on his YouTube channel, which gained over a million views. The positive energy around our collaborations led me to work with them exclusively. As we prepared to release our first music, I met my creative director Julia, who played a significant role in shaping my visual identity. The journey started gaining momentum with the release of ‘Miles Away,’ marking the beginning of it all.
You’ve garnered support from a diverse range of artists globally. How does it feel to have such recognition from figures like Kanye West, Playboi Carti, and others?
It’s surreal. Listening to Kanye as a kid and then finding myself in the same room with him feels different. It’s a reminder that dreams do come true, and I believe everything happens for a reason. Meeting artists like Carti has been a valuable experience, allowing me to have genuine conversations with them beyond their public personas. It’s a testament to growth—from freestyling in my room to sharing moments with icons. I’m grateful for the journey.
With such a diverse international fan base and support from KPOP groups like AESPA and TREASURE, how does it feel to have such widespread recognition and influence at such a young age?
It’s a blessing. Being recognized globally at 19 is what I’ve always wanted. I look forward to visiting Asia and experiencing more of the world.
How do you think your global vision and fluency in multiple languages contribute to your unique style and appeal?
Growing up, I developed an appreciation for different cultures, integrating elements I love from various backgrounds into my art. This diversity reflects in my music, and I hope to inspire people from different worlds to embrace their own backgrounds while being open to incorporating elements from each other.
In the press release, you mentioned experimenting with different sounds and topics. Can you elaborate on the creative process behind crafting each song on the EP?
Certainly, here’s a breakdown of every song on the EP.
‘imagine!’
The intro on my debut EP—an uplifting and motivational song conveying the realization of dreams, overcoming obstacles, and moving forward with determination and purpose. It sets a positive and empowered atmosphere for the rest of the EP.
‘girls cry 2!’
Breaking stereotypes, embracing emotions, and spreading unity. This song celebrates vulnerability and encourages the expression of feelings, recognizing our shared humanity.
‘way up!’
Reflects my journey as an artist, making progress since releasing my first single eight months ago. Taking a break from law school to fully focus on my music career, it symbolizes a feeling of high sensation and success.
‘tap in!’
About moving on and healing from a heartbreak, inviting people to connect with the new and improved version of myself. Encouraging others to tap into this new energy and join me on the journey of self-discovery and healing.
‘rover!’
Symbolizes a transition from hard work and dedication (studying law) to pursuing dreams in music. Expresses the new feeling of flow and fulfilment in aligning with one’s true path.
‘in love!’
A wild rollercoaster of a song, capturing the passionate and sometimes stormy nature of a relationship. It speaks to the ups and downs inherent in such connections.

A deeply personal song about self-worth and self-empowerment. Written after a heartbreak, it emphasizes rising above the pain and embracing one’s unique, imperfectly perfect self.

A song about choosing to move forward, leaving behind conflict and drama, and embracing a positive life. The energy in the song is spontaneous and meant for listeners to let go and enjoy.
Were there any particular challenges or breakthrough moments you experienced while working on “SUPERSTAR!”?
Yes, I experienced my first heartbreak, which taught me a lot. Healing and moving on during the EP’s creation, ‘Perfect!’ is a raw and emotional song that reflects that experience. The song’s hook is a freestyle, and the rest was written entirely by me.
Your first tour, supporting Lil Tjay, has recently started. How does it feel to perform live and connect with your audience in person?
It feels surreal, like another dream coming true. I’m grateful to Tjay for believing in me and providing this opportunity. Going on tour has always been a dream, and to achieve it in such a short period after releasing my first song is incredible. I understand that as an upcoming artist, the audience needs time to process the performance, and I appreciate that. I want them to take everything in and truly listen to what I’m saying. I enjoy the performances because they bring the music to life.
Are there any specific cities or venues you’re particularly excited about during this tour?
London holds special significance as it’s the biggest city on the tour and the location of my very first performance. It will be extra special because my mom and brother will be there to watch. I’m also excited about Germany, receiving many messages from people expressing their anticipation. Every city is special; I enjoy experiencing the different energies in each room.
Your presence on Instagram and TikTok has seen significant growth. How has social media played a role in your journey, especially considering the viral success of your studio freestyle on TikTok?
Social media has played a pivotal role, opening doors for me. Posting Reels and TikToks and reaching thousands of people with my music has consistently grown my audience. I’m grateful for the love and support, especially because I’m simply being myself. Sharing my genuine energy in these videos and seeing them resonate with people who appreciate me and my music brings me joy.
What are your plans and aspirations for the future, both in terms of your music career and personal growth?
Collaborating with artists I admire, going on tour, and building my own brand are among my aspirations. In general, I aim to make a positive impact on the world, spreading a message of love and inspiring everyone to believe in themselves and each other.
