Producer and singer-songwriter Nana Rogues shares the visual for his latest single, I Don’t Know, featuring multi-platinum, award-winning recording artist Emeli Sandé, MBE. Watch it here.
Directed by frequent Dave collaborator, Nathan James Tettey, the video takes place in a hotel rotating through various storylines; each room telling its own story, highlighting different relationship aspects. The emotive stories add a meaningful touch to the kinetic rhythms of the song.
I Don’t Know showcases the unique and versatile creativity that Nana Rogues brings to his music. Melding together summery melodies and textured production, the song sees Rogues extend his skills as both a producer and vocalist complimented by Emeli Sandé’s signature vocals.
Speaking about the collaboration, Nana Rogues said, ‘I got my producer hat on right now… sonically, I wanted to blend different genres into one song along with a catchy Topline. And who better to do it with than the super talented Emeli Sandè. We captured the right vibe and feeling on the track!’
Hailing from Hackney, east London, Nana Rogues is no novice when it comes to crafting insanely catchy hits, producing and writing for the likes of Ella Mai, RAYE, Annie-Marie, Skepta, Stormzy and Kanye West. In 2015, he produced a number of songs forTinie Tempah’s album Youth, which included the Top 5 smash, Girls Like. He produced two songs for Drake’s album More Life, Skepta Interlude and worldwide hit single Passionfruit, which became one of the most streamed records of that year. He teamed up again with Drake in 2018 for the record-breaking single Don’t Matter To Me, which helped the Canadian rapper break the single-day streaming record on Apple Music and Spotify.
With her third album Real Life recently charting in the top 10, Emeli Sandé embarks on her headline tour in the UK in mid November.
I Don’t Know follows Nana Rogues 2018’s monster collaboration with WizKid & UK afrobeats star Not3s, To The Max. Both tracks are taken from his debut EP, due for release later this year.
