LUKE AW17 MAINLINE – NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE

Filled with bold tones and prints, Luke employs an attitude for AW17, embracing the brand’s core values and aesthetics.

The range is concise and clearly defined with a stunning olive ‘Smokey Camo’ charging throughout the collection. With neoprene baseball styles, drop shoulder funnel necks and asymmetric front panels coming through, the offering is clean but technical.

From the TECHUNIQUE concept, new fabrics have been developed including: ‘Mixed Gauge Quilting’ ‘Semi Opaque Nylon Mesh’ ‘Spot Embroidery Quilting’ ‘Techneopique’ and ‘Waxed Coated Nylon Oxford’ These fabrics are tied together with a stunning palette of dark neutral tones including mushroom and moss, with bold accents of cherry, ‘New Flame Orange’ and Dusky Pink.

New branding for the season sees the introduction of a Black/Chrome enamel badge, a fresh clean addition to the classic lion, allowing different identities for each piece.

In detail, textures of quilting sit next to ‘liquid mesh’ allowing for volume and depth throughout the jackets. Combined with velour tracksuits and embroidered sweats, raw seams add to the rich plethora of techniques which reinforces Luke as one of the leading UK menswear brands.

The stand out peacock item is ‘Billy Biggles’, encapsulating the running trends of the range; the smoky camo and rose gold zips. Complete with a military style fur collar, this bomber jacket is the essential buy from the AW17 season.

The denim offering has progressed with the introduction of new styles including ‘Buddy’, which features a zip ankle for a slim silhouette. Continued styles such as Vacuum and Freddie are refreshed with rips and new washes of greys and blacks, as well as red and mushroom options.

Suede Chelsea boots and leather brogue boots take the footwear to a sophisticated level, complimenting the sleek design features throughout the trainers, including rose gold zips and hidden eyelets on ‘Robshaw’.

There really is ‘NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE’.
